Great Crochet Books

The following list of books that I think are extremely helpful and inspiring to any person who loves to crochet:
  1. AUSTENtatious Crochet by Melissa Horozewski -- I just got this book, and I am just so thrilled with it. If you need to know one thing about me besides that I love crochet is I am a bit obsessed with anything British especially during the Jane Austen's day. I am an admitted Anglophile. This book is not only filled with some beautiful crochet designs that has a modern take on the Regnecy Period fashion, but it is also filled with a little whimsy of Austen quotes and even a little pseudpigraphical storyline for each new chapter. I admit it is a bit nerdy, but I am admittedly a Austen nerd and enjoyed it immensely. The designs are exquisite, which is only appropriate for Jane Austen's description of fine ladies and they work basket. This book is worth a look. Check it out at your library or give it a gander on Amazon. 2. 100 Purses to Knit and Crochet by Jean Leinhauser and Rita Weiss -- If you are looking for a new purse but want something a little different than what is being offered at the department store than look no further than this book. The patterns for purses are just amazing and really inspire you to create something that will definitely set yourself apart from those department store Doonie & Burke folks. You will sport something that is absolutely individual yet fashion forward. There are patterns for every occasion. Homemade purses are great gift and are pretty quick and easy to make with a little patience and creativity. I highly recommend this if you love to crochet accessoriesm, then this is book is 100% worth. I have checked this book out a million times at the library.
  3. Ultimate Crochet Bible: A Complete Reference and Step-by-Step Technique by Jane Crawford This is the perfect book to have on your shelf. It is great for the beginner or the advanced crocheter. It is truly awesome. The pictures are amazing and the information is informative and helpful. It really helped me advanced my crocheting game by teaching me different stitches but also helped me with understanding patterns and graphs better. If there is one book to get, I recommend this one.
More to come...
